Chocolate chip cookies were my absolute favourite, and I started to like them even more when I developed this recipe. Enjoy and indulge! Ingredients

Hi Foodies!
Once a month I will be collaborating with Jukebox to write an article on a new or classic foodie spot of my choice. Stay tuned here and also on Jukebox. Check out my article below: http://www.thejukeboxapp.com/single-post/2018/04/05/Finding-a-Favorite-at-Chocolats-Favoris Happy Thursday everyone! This past weekend for Easter, I decided to be basic and make Mini Egg cookies like every other person on my Instagram feed. Instead of doing the typical shortbread or chocolate chip with Mini Eggs inside, I decided to get a little creative. I used cake mix as my flour and sugar! Yes, cake mix! I bought just a simple Betty Crocker mix (White) added eggs, oil, rainbow sprinkles and Mini Eggs! They were phenomenal and my family went crazy over them! Prep time: 15 mins Cook time: 12 mins Serving: 24 cookies Ingredients 1 Pack of Betty Crocker White Cake Mix 3/4 Oil 2 Eggs 1/2 Container of Rainbow Sprinkles 1 1/4 Cup of Mini Eggs (more or less as desired) Instructions 1. Heat oven to 350°F. 2. Mix all ingredients with large spoon until well blended. 3. Roll into 24 balls; place, 4 inches apart, on baking sheets with parchment paper 4. Bake for 12 minutes (Do not overbake!) Cool 5 min. on baking sheets; transfer to wire racks. Cool completely. 5. Eat up and enjoy! Finished Product
Whenever I have some free time, I like to bake; anything from cupcakes to cheesecakes. This time around I chose to make Peanut butter and Nutella cookies from scratch. With a similar appearance to a Hershey kiss, I combined both peanut and hazelnut to make one of the best cookies ever! My family and friends are obsessed with these cookies, and they have become my signature to bring to any event or celebration.
Prep time: 15 mins Cook time: 12-13 mins Serving: 24 cookies Ingredients 3/4 Sugar 2 Cups of Peanut Butter (I chose to use light- for a less guilty food pleasure) 3/4 Cup of Nutella 2 Eggs Instructions 1. Heat oven to 325°F. 2. Mix all ingredients with large spoon until well blended. 3. Roll into 24 balls; place, 4 inches apart, on baking sheets with parchment paper 4. Make a thumbprint in each cookie ball 5. Grab another teaspoon and fill the empty hole with Nutella. Swirl the Nutella around in the hole of the cookie ball. As much as desired; I put A LOT. 6. Bake 20 min. or until lightly browned. (Do not overbake!) Cool 5 min. on baking sheets; transfer to wire racks. Cool completely. Liberty village is filled with unique restaurants like Mildred’s Temple Kitchen, Williams Landing, and School Bakery and Café. School blew me away by both their unique style, overwhelming menu and mouth-watering dishes. I ordered their famous ‘Black ‘n’ Blue Flapjacks’ Stacked High w/ Black & Blueberry Sauce + Brown Sugar Butter. Even the title will make you hungry! I would also recommend to try their weekend brunch, along with their ‘Krispy Krunchy French Toast’- Rolled in Snap, Crackle & Pop w/ Orange Maple Marmalade + Sugar Dust AND their ‘Super Cheesy Bacon French Toast’ w/ Loads of Gooey Cheddar-Jack Served w/ Syrup + Greens Check out the rest of their menu here: http://www.schooltoronto.com/weekdaymenu/ ‘Black ‘n’ Blue Flapjacks’ Stacked High w/ Black & Blueberry Sauce + Brown Sugar Butter with a Latte in Hand
The Rolling Pin, famous for its cakes and decadent pastries is located on Avenue Road. This bakery stood out to me because of its unique donut flavours, such as PB&J, Nutella and peanut butter and blueberry cheesecake. WOW! Along with all the bakery’s deliciousness, the staff is incredible! I had the pleasure of meeting the owners, and they were nothing but kind as they gave excellent recommendations from teas to coffees, and cupcakes to macarons.Personally, I believe that The Rolling Pin should open a second location in the eclectic neighborhood, Queen Street West. This neighborhood is filled with amazing restaurants and bakeries and I think it would have more customers as the area is constantly busy.
Recommendations:
While visting New York City, I tried a brunch restaurant called Sarabeth’s. The menu was so overwhelming I could not decide what I wanted. Then I came across their lemon ricotta pancakes. Yes, they taste even better than they sound. The pancakes were garnished with fresh blackberries and provided whipped butter and organic maple syrup on the side. So delicious! Highly recommended!
